Poetry, picnic and the countdown to Conway Hall

The British summer is well and truly upon us. We’ve rain, sunshine, thunder, lightning  – it’s about as typical as it gets. In the midst of that is loads of fun Sunday Assembly stuff.

We’re excited to announce that on 19th August we’re having a poetry night with our very own award-winning poet, Jenny Mitchell. How exciting is that? It will be in real life and lived streamed so you can attend from wherever in the big wide world you live.

There will also be an open-mic bit and we’d love people to take part by reading some of your poems. Please contact Stephanie@sundayassembly.com if you’d like to read an original work.

Tickets are £5 for in-real-life at Battersea Spanish in London or you can sign up for the live stream and make a little donation if you are able.

Book your tickets now!

There’s also two more lovely picnics at Lincoln’s Inn Fields, 1st and 15th August from noon onwards. Come along and join us chat, play board games, throw frisbees and that sort of stuff. If it’s rainy, we’ll be under the Bandstand.

And the bestest stuff for last, we’re working dead hard to pull everything together for our first face-to-face assembly since March 2020. A few volunteers have been to try out some new tech stuff at Conway Hall, so we can live stream everything too.

With only a handful of weeks to go, volunteer Lead humans will be contacting people about the front of house and tea team volunteer roles and before you know it we’ll be back in the room singing and dancing.

See you soon, in the room and on the zoom.
