Losing a producer, gaining an event manager

Dear Sunday Assembly London,

It has been an absolute privilege and pleasure to be our community’s Producer/Booker for the past three years. But it’s time for me to pass the baton on to someone else.

Thank you for putting your trust in me by giving me this incredible opportunity and responsibility. With your support, I learned how to produce Sunday Assembly events, manage a team of volunteers, and come up with new initiatives to support our community. During my tenure we launched a YouTube channel, started our online merch shop, navigated in and out of a pandemic (numerous times!) held 30 online assemblies (including a global Christmas event and two UK-wide assemblies) and 30 in-person assemblies, hosted two online fundraising events and four in-person fundraisers, and attended Wilderness Festival twice.

Together, we explored topics that made us laugh, cry, and test our boundaries. We learned that being a community doesn’t only mean meeting up in the same physical space; we are capable of making deeply meaningful connections even when we’re far apart.

I’m so proud of us for sticking together during the most difficult times, and I’m hopeful for the future as we look forward to the 10th birthday of this global movement that is filled with wonder.

If you’re interested in applying, please see the full job description here.

Thank you,

Stephanie Pollard
