Planning for the funny thing called the new normal

This year the world changed. Sunday Assembly London temporarily moved house from Conway Hall to the pixelated world of the Internet. We’re having a lot of fun there, seeing all your lovely faces and being together as a community.

Lots of people have been asking about when we’re likely to be back in Conway Hall and if we’ll continue streaming Assemblies online. With this in mind, we’ve made some plans. They are subject to change because we want everyone to remain healthy – this is top of our list. But this much we know at the moment:

July

Both of our Assemblies in July will be on Zoom. That’s 5th and 19th July – stick in your diary now!
Other groups will continue online during July.

August

As normal in August, we’re taking a break from big Assemblies. However, if official guidance advise it’s safe to do so we will plan some picnics. Depending on public transport and the size of groups allowed to meet, picnics may be in a number of locations. We’ll send out more information about picnics from mid-July.

September

This is the very earliest we’ll be having face-to-face Assemblies. Again, much depends on official guidance, what’s happening with Conway Hall and how far apart chairs will have to be. We’re all excited about seeing you all in 3D but we’ll only do it when we are sure it’s safe.

Online Assemblies here to stay?

We know that some of you won’t be able to make it in person when we’re back in Conway Hall. It’s just too far to travel from LA or Spain or one of the many places you join from.  It’s been brilliant to see you on Zoom, so we plan to keep streaming Assemblies to the world via the Internet.

And once we know more, you’ll be the first to know!
